MTB Wheels

MTB wheels are one of the fundamental components when choosing a bike as they determine the grip on the ground and the force imparted to the pedaling depending on the terrain on which you are pedaling.
The wheels are composed of a hub, a circle in which to insert the inner tube or not, the spokes which, depending on the number and shape, can affect the weight of the wheel and its impact on the ground, the nipples (i.e. rubber that are on the outside of the wheels) which, based on their distance and their size, determine the type of terrain on which it is best to pedal.

The evaluation of the weight of the wheels is a fundamental factor when you want to buy a new bike or a new set. The weight to be taken into consideration is not the overall weight of the wheel but the distributed weight, that is the difference in weight between the hub and the spokes.
The heavier wheels on the hub and therefore lighter on the spokes are suitable for MTBs as they improve performance and make the bike lighter in contact with the ground.
