Lumos

Lumos is a company born in 2015 from an idea of †‹†‹Eu-Wen Ding and Jeff Chen two engineers who constantly ask themselves how to improve the safety of the cyclist when he finds a pedal on a very busy road. From their passion for bikes, Lumos was born, a helmet capable of making cyclists more visible and making their moves clearer to motorists. The commitment is to increase the safety of cyclists. To start producing the helmet, the two engineers launched a crowdfunding project on expanded Kickstarter financed and recognized by cyclists from all over the globe. The helmet has 11 white LEDs positioned on the front, 38 red LEDs positioned on the back, the direction registers and an "accelerometer" capable of recognizing braking and turning on the red lights.
The helmet is made of polyurethane foam, weighs about 440 grams and is available in different colors. It has a rechargeable battery that lasts up to six hours, fully completes all American and European safety standards and is weatherproof.
