Urge

Urge is a French brand founded in 2008 in Cogolin by Fabien Barel, 3 times DH world champion, Fred Glo, creator of the legendary Tribe 10000 (1st MTB Enduro race in Val d'Allos) and the Enduros series, Jean Pierre Garnier historical MTB designer, mountain biker, surfer and artist, Laurent Cornec tennis player and experienced manager and Christophe Gallo accomplished sportsman (Iron Man, Gravel Bike...) and enthusiastic sales manager. 

France was the first country in the world to organize, in 1987, the World Mountain Bike Championship in Villard de Lans. Even closer to Cogolin, since 1984, every year the Roc D'Azur is organized, the biggest Mountain Bike event in the world. 
Many are the French champions who, in the last 30 years, have established themselves in the MTB including Fabien Barel and Sabrina Jonnier who currently work with Urge. This leadership has allowed the development of perfect products for mtb, enduro and downhill. The last example is probably the enduro specialty born in France and then spread to the rest of the world. Urge, thanks to Fred Glo "the godfather of the discipline, was the first brand to launch a helmet specifically designed for Enduro the "Archi Enduro". 

The team is made up of talented and passionate athletes (almost always riders) who live and work in the south of France, between the Pyrenees and the Mediterranean and each of them is actively involved in the development of the brand whose ambition is to produce the best URGE MTB helmets ever. 

Urge helmets are produced in an eco-sustainable way: the straps are made of PET (the basis of "petrochemical" plastic) from old plastic bottles transformed into fiber which is then made into fabric to make the helmet straps. The shell is made of EPS (expanded polystyrene) foam recycled from the waste processing industry. The visors and chin guards, on the other hand, are made of recycled ABS (polymer) (100% for visors and 35% for chin guards). Full face helmets have had all or part of the traditionally used fiberglass replaced with 100% natural and vegetable LIN fiber.
