Camelbak is a brand founded in 1989 by Michael Eidson in Petulama (California) and is famous all over the world for the production of water backpacks and water bottles. In 1989 the brand founder took part in the "Hotter" cycling competition and, before leaving, he filled a drip bag with water, put it in a tubular cup, fixed everything on the back of the shirt and passed the hose hydration over the shoulder, fixing it with a clothespin. Within a few months the production of water backpacks officially began with the release of the first ThermalBak model, which quickly became popular among cyclists. Camelbak's idea therefore arises from man's primary need to hydrate himself.
It took courage, conviction, imagination and determination to evolve from a drip bag contained within a tubular sock to the creation of real backpacks with a built-in water bag.
Camelbak immediately became a leader in the production of water backpacks, some of them equipped with an integrated back protector such as, for example, the Camelbak Mule backpack perfect for a day on the MTB or the Camelbak Mule NV which has the same structure as the Mule but offers a better system air channeling on the back.
