CITY E-BIKE

The city e-bikes are designed for all those who want to reach every corner of the town quickly and easily. The e-bikes allow you to cover medium distances without reaching your destination with short breath. 

The electric bike is easy to use, like a city bike, but even more comfortable, less tiring to use, does not pollute and, above all, does not require insurance policies or payment of taxes. 

The power of the motor must not exceed 250 watts and it must start working together with the pedalling: when the driver stops pedalling, the motor must switch off automatically. The permitted speed limit for this type of vehicle is 25km/h. 

Usually the E-bike City works following the mechanism of "assisted pedalling": the motor intervenes just enough to maintain a constant speed of 25 km/h and, through the use of the pedals, is deactivated if this speed is reached. 

The E-bike City is equipped with a battery, usually lithium-ion, with a good autonomy and a fairly short recharge time. A pedal-assisted bicycle can cover about 50 km (some models can go up to 80 km). The battery can be positioned either in the central part of the frame or on the rear rack.

The pedal-assisted bicycle is not a moped and therefore the electric motor must start and stop at the same time as the pedals. To guarantee this action, the pedal-assisted bicycle is equipped with movement and effort sensors so that the electric control unit is activated or deactivated at the appropriate time.

The sensors perceive the movement of the pedals and send a signal to the motor: the first pedal stroke is then carried out at the tax level and, from the second, the motor also comes into action with a thrust equal to the power set by the first pedal stroke. When you reach 25km/h the motor switches off and starts up again as soon as the speed drops. The bike with pedal assistance allows you to set at least three levels of assistance that regulate the thrust of the motor according to your needs.

Pedal-assisted bikes have a design similar to traditional bikes with a higher weight, a strong frame, made of aluminium or carbon fibre, they are usually equipped with a multi-speed gear to move easily in city traffic and disc brakes for excellent and always safe braking.
