Sidi

SIDI is an Italian brand, founded in 1960 by Dino Signori, which produces mountain sports footwear, motorbike boots and cycling shoes. Thanks to the passion, innovative ideas and professionalism of its founder, the company quickly became a market leader in its sector, exporting its products all over the world. The brand name is made up of the initials of its founder, thus representing the deep identification between Dino Signori and his company. In 1974 the symbol of the vortex, a metaphor for strength and movement, was added to the logo.

Tradition and innovation, comfort and design are the elements that have always distinguished Sidi shoes.

Its shoes have been used by many famous professional cyclists to win many important races, including world championships. In the beginning the shoes had leather uppers and wooden soles, but since the 1970s they have been made from plastics and other man-made materials such as Lorica and carbon fibre.
Over the years the company has developed various types of technology to make the shoes even more comfortable, including the Vent Carbon sole, which is extremely ventilated and light and has an air inlet on the toe that, once opened, allows excellent air circulation and good ventilation inside the shoe. The air passes through specially designed channels until it exits through an exhaust opening. Depending on the cyclist's needs, the air intake can be opened or closed. The Vent Carbon sole is designed to provide slight flex in the toe area while maintaining excellent stiffness over the entire body of the shoe. 
The company has also created the Sidi Wire Carbon technology for the Tecno 3 System rotor used as a closure system that wraps around the entire shoe, adapting the upper to the shape of the foot. Tecno System 3 also closes the Sidi Drako carbon srs model, which has the new Mtb SRS Carbon Ground carbon sole, composed of four screwed inserts that are easy to replace in case of wear.
