CeramicSpeed is a brand specialising in the production of ceramic bearings. In 1998 the company's founder, Jacob Csizmadia, broke the world record for inline skating with roller skates equipped with ceramic ball bearings. In the early 2000s he was the first to introduce ceramic bearings into professional cycling.

In 2001, Jacob went on tour with Team CSC, where ceramic bearings were used for the first time in the Tour de France.

He then started the production of hybrid bearings, for both sporting and industrial applications. These bearings use high-quality ceramic balls and additional specially developed components. The special properties of the CeramicSpeed bearings allow them to perform much better than normal steel bearings. The high standards enable lower friction and a longer bearing life. Every single bearing is hand-assembled in Holstebro, Denmark, under Jacob's personal supervision.

In 2016, the company set up a laboratory in Friction Facts, Colorado, to implement quality and innovative results in the cycling industry and to continuously improve its products. 

CeramicSpeed sponsors three World Tour cycling teams and many other athletes in both triathlon and MTB.
