Marzocchi is an Italian company founded in 1949 in Bologna by Stefano and Guglielmo Marzocchi. The two brothers began their career as designers at the prestigious Ducati company, but soon realized they wanted their own company. After several years of success in the design and manufacture of complete motorcycles, the brothers decided that hydraulic suspension would be Marzocchi's future. In the late 1950s, the OEM and aftermarket supplier for brands such as Ducati, BMW, Cagiva, KTM and Aprilia. In the late 1980s, the mountain bike industry started to take off and Marzocchi replied present. An increasing number of consumers began to ask to implement a suspension on the front of the mountain bike and, in 1989, the first Marzocchi suspension fork "Star Fork" for MTB was presented .
