CANNONDALE
CANNONDALE is an American company, founded in 1971 in GeorgeTown by Joe Montgomery, which deals with the production of bikes and frames. Born as a manufacturer of outdoor equipment, in a short time Cannondale has become one of the most advanced brands in terms of technology in the design and development of bicycles. In 1983 Cannondale created the first bike with an oversized aluminum frame: the light weight and efficient rigidity decreed the birth of aluminum bicycles. In 1992 the company introduced HeadShock a suspension fork with needle bearing positioned inside the head tube. This revolutionary fork defined a new performance parameter as regards the front suspension and thanks to this innovative technology Lefty was created: the Cannondale single-leg front suspension. One of the most famous and revolutionary Cannondale MTBs is, surely, the Super V: an original design bike, equipped with the HeadShock 120 front fork, which has won numerous awards for both design and engineering. The performance of the hollow cranks, super rigid and ultra-light, mounted on this MTB have allowed the introduction of the bottom bracket with external bearing now also used by the biggest brands. Cannondale has partnered with Volvo to launch the most important and successful MTB team in history with 11 world championships, 17 world cup titles, 16 national championships, 89 world cup victories, 33 NORBA victories, 2 Olympic games and 2 medals d gold in the Pan Am Games. Cannondale bikes have also made history in road cycling. In fact, the American brand was the first bike manufacturer to sponsor a European professional team by winning the Giro D'Italia in the first year. The success of the team, led by Mario Cipollini, has again underlined the superiority of the Cannondale aluminum frames and put an end to the predominance of the steel frame in the group races. In 2000 the company revolutionized the Lefty front suspension making it even lighter, stiffer, stronger and softer than any other fork in the world. The Cannondale Lefty fork is currently mounted on the Cannondale MTB XC, XC aggressive, All-Mountain and Enduro. As regards the precision of the control of the cornering behavior, the Lefty forks are truly unbeatable: the distinctive double plate and single arm design offers very high rigidity that the double arm forks cannot have. The extremely sliding internal needle bearings ensure smooth operation of the suspension, even under heavy loads that would cause the other forks to bend. In this way it is possible to create a front suspension system that allows you to trace any line, on all terrains. No push-ups or bends and always impeccable reactivity. Put your preconceptions aside and move to new levels of performance with a Lefty. Cannondale has revolutionized the crank and bottom bracket technology again by introducing a hollow, super stiff and ultra light crank designed around an over-sized axle of the 30mm aluminum bottom bracket. This specification has been renamed "open standard" and allowed the birth of the BB30. In the early 2000s the company introduced the innovative line of Cannondale Over-Mountain bikes on which a lever is mounted which, when operated, allows you to adjust the stroke, the cushioning and the geometry set-up to tackle climbs easily and descents making these bikes ideal for Enduro competitions. A further success of the company was in 2007 when the SuperSix Evo was introduced: a road bike with the best stiffness / weight ratio and exceptional riding quality. With this bike Ivan Basso won his second Giro D'Italia in 2010 and Vincenzo Nibali won his first Vuelta in 2013. In 2013 Cannondale also made the history of enduro competitions: the OverMountain rider Jérôme Clémentz, won the first World Enduro Championship on board his Jekyll. The Cannondale bikes have reinvented and re-defined the hardtail by introducing a new standard for competitive XC performance with the F-Si and its Asymmetric System Integrated design. →CANNONDALE & PRO-M STORE↠We at Pro-M Store, as authorized Cannondale Italia distributors, have a wide range of Cannondale road bikes and Cannondale mountain bikes such as the Cannondale SuperSix Evo, the Topstone Carbon Force eTap AXS, the Cannondale Habit MTB e-bikes Neo 4 and Moterra Neo Se, the Cannondale Synapse NEO SE and the Cross-country MTB Cannondale Scalpel 29.
