Pivot Bike is a brand founded in 2007 in Phoenix (Arizona) by Chris Cocalis. The company produces high-end mountain bikes in carbon and aluminum, with the goal of making the off-road experience of any biker perfect. Pivot Cycles builds the highest performing, most manageable and fun full suspension mountain bikes on the market. From the suspension design to the impeccable construction of the frame, there is scrupulous attention to detail. All Pivot Cycles mtb bikes have the dw-link suspension design: this revolutionary, position-sensitive, anti-squat design eliminates the pedal bob while pedalling off the saddle and gives the bike extra traction when riding uphill, both standing and sitting. The dw-link also allows for superior tuning to give you a better ride and a smoother feel on rough terrain. The stiffness of the frame is one of the key points to get the most out of any suspension and, for this reason, all the details of the Pivot frames are carefully analysed to check their stiffness and strength. The larger bottom bracket shell allows for a larger down tube which contributes to overall stiffness. The Dw-Link features oversized pivot axles that rotate on 8 cartridge bearings. Combined with a carbon top link and a one-piece rear triangle, the reliability of this zero-flex design is unmatched. The result is ultra-precise handling, stability and durability.
