Hope Technology was founded in 1989 by Ian Weatherill and Simon Sharp as a mountain bike disc brake manufacturing company.
The company immediately became known worldwide for its brakes and, shortly after its birth, it also began to produce hubs, headsets, stems, bottom brackets, grips, hub bearings, saddle collars and lights. All the components are made in the Barnoldswick (UK) factory: in this way the company has total control over both product quality and delivery times.
The company, over the years, has created several innovative products including the first hydraulic brake, presented at the Eurobike in 1994, with a double disc system and Hope Sport lever with an innovative wheel adjustment device designed to create a completely no dragging and the first 6-bolt sports hubs for quick assembly of the discs launched in 2001.
The company is known all over the world for the quality and reliability of its products which are generally used by enthusiasts who always want excellent performance from their bicycle.
