Poc is a Swedish brand, founded in Stockholm in 2005 by Stefan Ytterborn, which manufactures bike and ski helmets, clothing and sunglasses. The company's mission is to do everything possible to save people's lives and reduce the consequences of accidents for athletes and cyclists who practice gravitational sports. The concepts, technologies and materials used to create the helmets are developed in close collaboration with the Poc Labs where some of the leading sports medicine experts, scientists studying the brain and specialists in spinal cord injuries work. The goal of the brand is to create helmets and products of the highest level to raise the safety standards of those who practice skiing or MTB by reducing the consequences of falls through greater protection to the body and head. The Poc helmets have a design with soft lines, rounded slits, no edges, the head coverage is more extensive and the aramid framework allows the helmet to better resist impacts without shattering. Poc uses Mips technology with a sliding surface system designed to lighten the impact load on the head and with the aim of reducing the injuries caused by rotational impacts. The POC knee and elbow pads are an additional essential element to keep the athlete in total safety: light and comfortable, they offer perfect freedom of movement while maintaining a very high level of protection. POC's search for perfect protection also addresses the world of clothing: the minimal design that distinguishes the garments has made the brand unmistakable on the market.
