The SCHWALBE EDDY CURRENT tire is the first tire specifically designed for enduro, all mountain and gravity e-mtb. This tire allows you to pedal easily and without stopping on all terrain, both uphill and downhill.
The front tire is 29" and, compared to smaller tires, offers more control and smoothness. The open tread and the aggressive tread block arrangement allow both aggressive braking and acceleration and precise control at all times.
Engine power comes into play on the rear tyre. For this reason, the tyre must have extreme ground grip when braking and, even when starting standing on climbs, it must convert the full power of the engine into propulsion. Traction is provided by the large 2.8" contact surface with strong central blocks. The tyre has good cushioning characteristics and, thanks to the strong blocks on the shoulder, it is safe when cornering.
The Addix Soft Compound and tread work together for maximum grip on the ground; the excellent cushioning characteristics on the shoulder blocks make the tyre easy to control, the compound in the centre runs smoothly and the product life is really long.
The Scwhalbe Eddy Current has a Super Gravity carcass: five layers of fabric on the tread and four on the sidewall protect against punctures and tears. Apex protection and SnakeSkin sidewalls offer even more protection. The tyre is Tubeless-Easy and because it is not directional, it doesn't matter in which direction it is fitted.
