And you could win the Tour de France with a baggy jersey that was little more than a polyester T-shirt with pockets on the back. Even our aerodynamics consultants predicted limited benefits, so Castelli called the jersey Split Second. In the end, the benefits were substantial and completely revolutionized the look of the professional peloton. Now we're on the seventh major revision of the jersey and we've found even more benefits. Benefiting heavily from CFD analysis of the drafting flow in the riding position for fabric and seam placement, as well as feedback from professional cyclists, this jersey is fast and comfortable for long days in the saddle. And for those days when it can really make a difference, wear our Bolero SS base layer under the jersey to gain even more aerodynamics.
