FOCUS IZALCO MAX 8.9 ULTEGRA BIKE

The FOCUS IZALCO MAX 8.9 ULTEGRA is a racing bike with a lightweight aero carbon frame, new C.I.S aero stem, RAT thru-axle pivots, Shimano Ultegra rear derailleur, and lightweight, aerodynamic Novatec R4 carbon wheels with 45 mm rim height.
The bike was built in Focus' wind tunnel to achieve the best possible mix of aerodynamics and light weight-the result is a combination of Kamm tail profiles, hidden cables, and well-balanced proportions. Thanks to highly rigid High Modulus carbon fibers, the frame weighs only 1040 g and the aero fork 360 g.
All cables run neatly inside the new advanced C.I.S. aero stem: from the handlebar through the stem and headset directly into the frame.
The bike mounts an aerodynamic carbon D-profile seatpost with 15 mm offset for the perfect mix of ergonomics and comfort. To maintain a correct riding position the seat tube has been pushed forward so that the actual offset is only 2 mm. The comfort of a 15 mm offset seatpost without sacrificing a modern racing seating position.
Wide 28mm tires increase comfort and puncture protection while R.A.T. through-axles offer maximum stability. 160 mm disc (flat mount) brakes ensure safe and reliable braking performance in all weather conditions.
