When it was still at the prototype stage, this brake proved its real value by winning the DH 2017 World Championship: that victory was the starting point to refine the characteristics and make it even more performing.

The Formula Cura4 brake has no equals in terms of power and modulation: made with the highest quality materials, it inherits from its younger brother the quality of the materials, being a brake entirely forged and anodized, a production process that guarantees structural quality, reliability over time and low weight.

It has an increased friction surface of the pads and the increased thickness, which guarantee a perfect modulability, while the optimized roll-back allows to reach that exceptional lever feeling that has already made the Care famous.

The new features, on the other hand, are the caliper: made in two pieces made from an aluminium forging, the Cura 4 brakes have four pistons each 18 mm in diameter that allow one of the greatest braking power ever.

The weight/power ratio of the Formula Cura 4 is surprising to say the least: with a design that makes it ideal for gravity use, the Cura 4 weighs around 379 g per system (with 85 cm tube, 160 mm disc and screws included).

In addition, a good reason to buy these brakes on your MTB is the possibility to take advantage of Speed Lock technology, i.e. a quick release of the hose and caliper coupling, which greatly facilitates the installation of the brake system on all frames equipped with internal cable routing.

TECHNOLOGIES
SPEED LOCK: The Speed Lock valve allows the hose to be unhooked and attached at any time, without loss of fluid or introduction of air into the system. A perfect solution for frames with internal cable routing, for those who travel and transport their bikes or for all those who carry out frequent disassembly and assembly of the brakes. The Speed Lock valve also allows you to quickly disassemble and assemble the brake, so you can easily shorten the hose on the pump side. This technology is optional for all Formula brakes.
MIX MASTER: The MixMaster collar is optional for all Formula brakes. This simple upgrade allows the direct attachment of Shimano and SRAM gears to your Formula brakes, leaving the bike looking clean.
ROTORS: Extreme lateral stiffness that guarantees shock resistance protecting the disc from unwanted deformation; optimized braking track to reduce unwanted noise caused by friction; high own frequency that reduces the risk of resonance and vibration with the frame; reduced pad wear.
