HOPE FRONT HUB PRO 5 110 MM 28 HOLES

The HOPE FRONT PRO 5 HUB 110 MM 28 HOLES combines 30 years of experience with the demands of current and future cycling technologies. One of the main objectives in designing the Pro 5 hub was to reduce aerodynamic resistance in the drive mechanism. To achieve this, the sealing had to be improved with a new zero-resistance labyrinth seal and an improved ratchet and pawl system with new springs.
Another major upgrade of the rear hubs is the increase in engagement points (from 44 to 108) thanks to a staggered 6 pawl hub design, in which 3 pawls are engaged at all times. This strikes the right balance between grip speed, load capacity, strength and durability, and in real terms provides a faster feel on the trail while keeping crank movement at an acceptable level without compromising the hub's freedom of movement or its reliability.The outer shell has a new profile to increase rigidity without increasing weight, and the new axle design allows larger bearings to be fitted in a better arrangement to suit the latest body standards while increasing load capacity.
