The Maxxis Rekon Race 29 "x2.25 Exo TR Dual 120 Tpi is the latest MAXXIS tyre in terms of XC tyres.

To be used as a rear tyre combined with a front tyre with a more aggressive tread, or front and rear tyres for fast XC racing on dry/hard or medium compact terrain.

Used by Nino Schurter to triumph during the MTB World Cup, this semi-slick tyre borrows its tread design from the trail version of the Rekon, but with smaller, lower tread blocks.

Designed with a high air volume carcass to glide away easily between roots and treacherous rocks, while the DUAL compound offers optimum cornering traction and long life.

TECHNOLOGIES

• EXO: extremely resistant to cuts and abrasions added to the sides of MTB tyres. This layer obtained with a super-light dense weave does not affect the performance of the rubber.TECHNOLOGIES:
• TR TUBELESS READY: The TR tubeless ready version of MAXXIS provides the biker with many advantages: the possibility to pedal with a reduced pressure of the cover, this greatly improves traction; lower rolling resistance compared to tubeless cover; lower possibility to have the cover on the ground. Maxxis TR tubeless ready covers have the same advantages as UST tubeless covers without being penalized by the increased weight. For the TR version a standard casing is used and therefore requires the use of anti-puncture liquid for air tightness. Maxxis TR covers are the only covers approved for use with anti-puncture liquids. Maxxis TR tubeless ready tyres can also be used on non Tubeless wheels with the use of an inner tube.
