The Shorty Maxxis 3C Exo TR is the wheel designed for the Downhill, in fact it was made for the downhill World Cup. The tire adapts to all types of terrain, is robust and offers lightly offset side cleats for stability when cornering. Thanks to the very spaced cleats, pebbles and mud are ejected, ensuring perfect performance. The MaxxTerra triple compound tire compound is a great compromise: better traction and more grip than MaxxSpeed and higher performance than MaxxGrip. This version has Exo reinforcement on the sidewalls which increases protection against abrasion and tearing. Can be mounted with or without inner tube.

• EXO: extremely resistant to cuts and abrasions added to the sides of MTB tires. This layer obtained with a super-light dense weave does not affect the performance of the tire.
• TR TUBELESS READY: The TR tubeless ready version of MAXXIS provides the biker with many advantages: the possibility to pedal with a reduced tyre pressure, this greatly improves traction; lower rolling resistance compared to tubeless tires; lower possibility to have the tyre on the ground. Maxxis TR tubeless ready covers have the same advantages as UST tubeless covers without being penalized by the increased weight. For the TR version a standard casing is used and therefore requires the use of anti-puncture liquid for air tightness. Maxxis TR covers are the only covers approved for use with anti-puncture liquids.
  Maxxis TR tubeless ready tires can also be used on non Tubeless wheels with the use of an inner tube.
