SPD Pedals
SPD pedals are the perfect quick release pedals for MTB. The pedals are based on the use of special footwear on which a cleat is mounted, they can be attached to the foot, keeping it firmly anchored to the pedal. The pedal body, in fact, is made up of two forks, held in place by springs fixed on the pin itself. The task of these springs is to keep the forks in position and ensure that they remain hooked on the cleat fixed to the sole of the shoe. When we place the cleat on the pedal, the springs allow the forks to open, allowing the cleat to pass, then return to position and hook the upper part of the cleat itself. Then turning the heel outwards, the particular shape of the cleat allows you to move the forks, making it possible to release.
