The new P Zero Race is the first PIRELLI product entirely made in Italy, in the new factory in Bollate.

P ZERO™ Race is designed to offer all the advantages of tube technology in a versatile and race-ready tire, which outperforms any bike tire ever made, tubulars included. P ZERO™ Race combines the advantages of tube technology with an all-rounder cycling tire for intense training sessions and races. The TechBELT Road casing improves puncture resistance without weighing down the tire, while the special SmartEVO Compound enhances grip performance on both dry and wet asphalt compared to our previous cycling compounds.

SmartEvo compound
The most advanced racing formulation for road use ever, born from Pirelli's experience in the highest Motorsport competitions and from specific collaboration with the factory teams of the World Tour. The new SmartEvo Compound uses a mixture of 3 different polymers, each providing performance in a perfect balance of opposite characteristics, such as grip and smoothness. The ternary mixture of polymers with "intelligent" behavioral characteristics as the basis of the exceptional properties of the SmartEvo compound, allows better grip on dry and wet surfaces, while simultaneously improving rolling resistance. SmartEvo Compound is a high-performance compound developed for the most modern cycling disciplines, from local races or World Tour, to epic adventures where climate and road surfaces require tires that excel in all circumstances. SmartEvo is exclusive to the P ZERO range.

TechBELT Road
Casing with 120 and 60tpi with the addition of a nylon anti-puncture reinforcement layer under the tread makes it an extremely reliable configuration capable of guaranteeing high levels of comfort for any type of use, from training to daily commuting. The TechBELT Road structure is exclusive to the P ZERO range.

Optimized for modern 19C wheels
Pirelli P Zero Race has been developed and optimized for the new 19C internal channel rims, the best performance is obtained based on the size of the rim and the weight of the cyclist with which to calculate the optimal use pressure. Due to the construction and adaptation to the most current standards, each size of P ZERO Race presents a wider tread compared to the corresponding P ZERO Velo: a wider and longer ground footprint, to the advantage of smoothness, puncture protection, and cornering control.
