The ZIPP 404 FIRECREST TLR DISCO 24 THRU AXLE 12 MM SHIMANO is a perfect rear wheel for fast cycling on the road. Thanks to its 58 mm profile this wheel is ideal on asphalt, in time trials, triathlons and gran fondo events.
The inner width of 23 mm allows wider tubeless tyres to be fitted with reduced air pressure. This is an important component of Total System Efficiency™, or TSE™, a Zipp concept for speed on different road surfaces and in variable riding conditions. In particular, TSE™ focuses on overcoming specific speed obstacles: wind resistance, gravity, rolling resistance and vibration loss. Zipp's ABLC™-Sawtooth™ technology uses a sophisticated dimpling pattern to improve aerodynamic efficiency.
The Hookless rim makes the transaction between the tyre and rim smoother and more aerodynamic, the material distribution is more efficient and the result is a lighter and more durable wheel.
The wheel is fitted with the versatile and durable German-designed ZR1 DB hub.
