Specialized Kids' Shuffle 2 LED Helmet

As part of our exclusive partnership with KTH Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) and Mips, we shared the CAD designs of our helmets and studied the soft, developing skulls of young children using finite element analysis (FEA). Since children's heads are softer and still growing, this collaboration led us to determine the need for lower-density foam—and more of it.

Data-Driven Innovation

As a result of our collaboration with KTH and Mips, we increased the amount of low-density foam in the Shuffle 2 LED helmet by 18%, while increasing the overall size by only 5%.
