The new Roval Rapide Cockpit is much more than the fastest way to reach the finish line. It is the fastest attack tool we've ever created, providing significant aerodynamic benefits by shaving an additional four watts from the already fast combination of the Rapide handlebar with the Tarmac stem. But to deliver a winning advantage, it takes more than pure aerodynamics. The goal for the Roval engineering team was simple: the Rapide Cockpit had to be the fastest handlebar we’ve ever made, with no compromises. It is aerodynamic, lightweight, stiff, and designed in collaboration with the world's best athletes and our Retül Fit experts to help you grab victory.

SPECIALIZED ROVAL RAPIDE COCKPIT 90X380MM KEY FEATURES:

• AERODYNAMICS: By removing the connecting components between the stem and the handlebar, we were able to design the handlebar’s airfoil profile. We optimized this airfoil to provide the maximum advantage in clean air at speeds encountered during long solo breakaways and full sprints at the World Tour. While a four-watt improvement might seem small, it results in a 32 cm advantage on a 250m final sprint. When races are won by launching your bike, this is a winning difference.
• LIGHTWEIGHT AND STIFF: By removing the connecting components between the stem and handlebar, the Rapide Cockpit is 50 grams lighter (100mm x 420mm) than the combination of the Rapide handlebar with the Tarmac stem. Made from high-modulus premium carbon fiber, it offers the ideal stiffness for the biggest and fastest sprinters on the World Tour. The Rapide Cockpit has a higher stiffness-to-weight ratio than any two-piece system we’ve ever made.
• POSITION: The disadvantage of one-piece cockpits has long been positioning, but we worked with our Retül Fit professionals and top athletes to ensure that nearly every rider can find their optimal saddle position. We offer 15 different combinations of stem and handlebar, all at -6 degrees, covering most racing positions. The arc from the tops to the drops is sculpted for wrist freedom, both out of the saddle and tucked in an aerodynamic position, while the curvature and flare reflect our favorite Rapide handlebar design.
• Designed with an aerodynamic profile for a 4-watt advantage over a traditional aerodynamic handlebar.
