The world's lightest road racing bike, created for the pure pleasure of riding, the Aethos, now breaks with tradition once again. This Limited Edition will be produced in only 300 units worldwide. Each one with a hand-dipped paint job, and equipped with the new Campagnolo Super Record EPS groupset and Hyperon wheels. The S-Works Aethos LTD with Campagnolo Super Record EPS sets a new standard in the ultra-high-end road bike category.

Creating the world's lightest production frame - 585 grams - was the result of 49 years of experience, and this is the ideal canvas to celebrate the foundation of Specialized. In 1973, it was Mike Sinyard's love for cycling that inspired him to sell his Volkswagen and head to Italy. On this journey, Mike fell in love with the quality and beauty of Italian components. His mission became to bring these products to American cyclists, and thus Specialized Bicycle Components was born. Pairing the Aethos with a top-tier Italian product is paying homage to Mike's passion for cycling and the culture of cycling in Italy.

• The S-Works Aethos frame is designed to create the perfect combination of ride quality, lightness, and style - to be able to accelerate even on steep climbs, descend the most technical descents, and be comfortable even during long Sunday rides. But you might ask, how did we do it? We've reinvented the traditional shape of the road bike from the past, tweaking it slightly to optimize stiffness and balance, without compromising weight or strength. With an entirely new layup, perfected over many decades, you get the lightest frame on the market (585 grams for the S-Works frame size 56). The Aethos is more than a new bike, it's the beginning of a new generation.
• An incredibly lightweight frame is useless if the ride characteristics don't inspire confidence. That's why for the Aethos, we sought the perfect mix of stiffness at the front and rear in relation to ride quality. By studying the flexibility and every minute detail of the carbon fibers, we've learned a lot about how forces pass through the frame. It will only take a few pedal strokes for you to realize that the Aethos sets a new standard in ride quality.
• For this Limited Edition Aethos, Campagnolo has provided the brand new Super Record EPS groupset and Hyperon wheels. The new 2x12 groupset is precise and fast wireless. Campagnolo Hyperon wheels are lightweight and therefore perfect for the climbing abilities of the Aethos.
