SPECIALIZED S-WORKS EVADE II MIPS HELMET

For a long time helmets have been characterised by two of these three features: lightness, ventilation and aerodynamics. But as you know, we don't play by these rules - or don't really care. We prefer to change the standards and create products that nobody has imagined yet. To prove it, just look at the new SPECIALIZED SWORKS EVADE II MIPS HELMET. It's simply the fastest road helmet there is.

What's more, the helmet is compatible with the ANGI 'crash' sensor (not included). When combined with the Android or iOS App, the helmet detects any falls and sends an SMS to the contacts you have selected on your phone. The sensor synchronizes with the App and STRAVA® to provide a GPS-based activity track.

Together with the creators of MIPS we created MIPS SL - a new, ultra-light and extremely comfortable version of the MIPS concept, currently exclusive to Specialized helmets. MIPS SL basically integrates the MIPS technology into the padding of the helmet itself. The minimalist fitting system provides 10 to 15 mm of rotation in each direction, thus offering the same protective advantages as other MIPS systems, while at the same time being very light and comfortable.

For the aerodynamic development of the new Evade, we practically moved into the wind tunnel. Having it at our complete disposal allows us to start with the aerodynamics of the design, instead of testing afterwards. The performance of this helmet was analysed in depth in the wind tunnel, and then continued with road tests, so that nothing was left to chance. The new Evade has been created through countless hours of development and testing, and the result is the fastest road helmet we have ever tested.

Not only have we reduced air resistance, we've managed to do so without compromising safety thanks to the new EPS Energy Optimized Multi-Density construction. As far as ventilation is concerned, the air passing freely through the helmet makes it cooler than ever, as well as reducing resistance. Aerodynamics and ventilation travel in parallel and have been optimised together in the wind tunnel to find the best combination. The air intakes and internal grooves have been created to let the maximum amount of air through the helmet for perfect ventilation. The new Evade is cool, it feels like riding without a helmet. The coolest aerodynamic helmet on the market.

Wearing the new Evade will save you 50 seconds over a 40km distance compared to a traditional road helmet and around 6 seconds compared to the previous version. In short, cool and fast too. There is nothing else like it on the road helmet market.

Last but certainly not least, a fast helmet is of no use if the fit is not perfect. The new S-Works Evade has all the features you'd expect from a top-of-the-line helmet, like our Mindset HairPort 2 positioning system with micro-adjustment, soft, crushproof straps, and Gutter Action to keep sweat out of your eyes.
