• G: The incorporation of the revolutionary material in the Vittoria tires, Graphene, is the brand's most important innovation. Graphene is a material that has exceptional characteristics that make Vittoria products advantageous: it derives from carbon, more precisely from graphite, and is 200 times more resistant than steel but 6 times more flexible. After research and testing, this material has been shown to interact with rubber by filling the space between the rubber molecules and offering unprecedented performance. The introduction of graphene in Vittoria tires allows the removal of natural barriers of rubber material: this means that there is no longer a need for compromises between speed, grip, durability and puncture resistance. Graphene's performance advantages are applicable to the entire range of tires, including electric bicycles. This compound allows for a very fluid rolling experience for assisted electric bikes, which helps extend battery life. When applied to MTBs with an electric motor, it is ultimately perfect for dealing with higher acceleration torque and offering much greater force exactly where torque damage is more likely to occur: at the base of the grip.
• 4C: the casing, together with the tread compound, determines how well a wheel can hold on the road: Vittoria tirelessly searches for new compounds to offer tires for riders with even better performance, grip and long life, in all conditions. This is where 4C compounds come into play, a layering process that uses 4 separate compounds in the same tread allowing softer compounds for a better grip and harder compounds to improve speed in a single tire. Since the different tires have completely different needs, Vittoria has perfected the extrusion process to meet the needs of each tire: when applied to MTB tires, 4C presents two compounds on the base of the tread that are more difficult to offer stability, puncture protection and resistance. when cut, while the layers on the surface provide uphill traction and unparalleled braking in the central part.
