All this work doesn’t come from a designer's ego; it wasn’t simply created to stand out in the market. Moving the lower link and shock lower and forward was crucial to lowering the anti-squat for a wild bike like the Bronson. Anti-squat happens when the force from your pedaling stiffens the suspension. Every time you hit an obstacle, the chain, and therefore the pedals, are effectively pulled backward. If the anti-squat is insufficient, the bike stalls under pedaling force. If it's too much, the bike will be "stiff" and unable to absorb the bumps you encounter while under strain. Moving any of the VPP™ pivot points by a couple of millimeters in any direction brings remarkable adjustments to the ride quality. The lower link of the VPP™ is now positioned lower and slightly further forward to optimize anti-squat. The result is a smooth feel, unbeatable feedback, and excellent traction.
