Danny MacAskill never stops talking about e-bikes. He’s infatuated. In fact, the only time he’s not annoying someone about how good they are is when he’s riding one. And when he’s riding an e-bike, he rides, rides, and rides. That’s partly why we’ve made the new Heckler capable of going further, higher, faster, and with more fun. The latest generation of Heckler has a larger removable battery (720Wh compared to 504Wh), allowing riders to expand their trail map, access previously unreachable trails, unlock lesser-used routes, and pack in more in less time.

The new Heckler offers options for mixed or dual 29-inch wheels. The wheel size isn’t the only choice for riders. There’s a full range of sizes, from medium to XXL, with the small-sized frame featuring dual 27.5-inch wheels. Two levels of carbon (Santa Cruz’s C and CC blends) open up a range of options for build kits.

What sets our e-bikes apart is how they handle on the trails. We’ve worked hard on the carbon layout and frame design to ensure it’s tough enough to handle the high amount of riding e-bikes enable. There are no shortcuts in components, so your only concern is not getting lost rather than being stuck with a mechanical issue. The geometry has been refined through extensive testing and feedback to make the ride enjoyable both uphill and downhill. Lastly, the legendary VPP suspension has been precisely tuned for e-bike use. The 150mm rear travel (paired with a 160mm fork up front) hits the sweet spot for a bike designed to tackle big trails on the most demanding days, with slightly lower anti-squat to give it glue-like traction on climbs you’ll challenge yourself on.

The only thing we haven’t figured out yet is how to get Danny on a 12-step e-bike recovery program.

Lifetime Frame Warranty

Santa Cruz Bicycles will repair or replace, at its discretion, any frame manufactured by Santa Cruz Bicycles deemed defective in materials or workmanship. The warranty is valid for the lifetime of the frame and is available only to the original owner. Notwithstanding the above, frames purchased before May 1, 2015, are covered by the previously existing warranty for five years from the original date of purchase. In a non-warranty situation, Santa Cruz Bicycles will make replacement parts available to the original owner at a reduced cost for the applicable warranty period described above.*
