RIDE DYNAMICS TUNING: Our Specialized Ride Dynamics team developed the kinematics and refined the geometry to deliver a snappy, lively bike that's equally at home on technical singletrack as it is popping up a flight of stairs.

CUSTOMIZATION: Every STATUS 2 model comes equipped with a flip chip (located on the Horst pivot link, near the rear axle) that allows the rider to fine-tune the frame's geometry for the desired ride or terrain. The bikes ship in the high position, but flipping the flip chip lowers the bottom bracket by 8mm and creates a slacker head tube angle. Loosen them: The bottom bracket will be 8mm lower and the head tube angle will be slacker. loosened by half a degree.
